Ok so there's this girl I met recently and I'm crushin on her big time, what would be a "cute" or original, thoughtful way of asking her to prom? Some ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Walk up to her and say "I was just wondering what color tie I should wear on prom night, I want to make sure it's going to match your dress. Oh and by the way, do you prefer roses, or orchids?"

T ry scavenger hunts :) Leave a note in her locker, directing her to the next note (in a classroom, with a trusted friend, at your house if she's ever there, etc.). In the last one, ask her to Prom.

give her a bunch of balloons and in each one put a piece of paper....on some of them put try again or other stuff but then on one of them put "will you go to prom with me?"

if you're a creative type, you could write her a poem, or a song.
