ok this is hypothetical but lets say there's $2000 made last yr, theres $100 fed income tax witheld, $100 soc. security tax witheld, $20 medicare tax witheld. Single, not claimed by anyone nor claiming anyone, between 21-24yrs old. How much return would come from this?
and the service is free of charge.

The person would not owe taxes on this amount, so would get his $100 federal income tax withheld refunded. If the person had a telephone with long distance or bundled service nsometime between March 2003 and July 2006, he'd get an additional $30 refunded for the telephone excise tax if he lives alone, or more if he has dependents.

The amount of federal withholding... $100. This person isn't old enough for EIC.
