Eggs are symbols of life and rebirth. Because of their fecundity, rabbits are symbols of fertility. Like many rituals, the early Christians probably borrowed heavily from pagan rituals prevalent in the areas in which they spread. You could just enjoy the pasttimes with family or forgo the whole thing. I think we could label this as mostly harmless.

well from what i know easter cames from ..the god of sex name estrose or something like that!?, as far it having to do with Christ, me thinks the cathlic church or should i say cult? came up with it.
