If God wanted man to understand and relate to Him, why did he make man (no gender intended) so stupid??
Any opinion welcome. Thank you.

Thanks everybody; a friend stopped by and begged me to ask it, so I did;
But thinking about it, doesn't it seem that although there are alot of very intelligent individuals, as a whole body, man seems stupid, ya know?
Watchman: thanks, well-written, I am a student and my specialty study is Prohecy. Hope I didn't offend anyone, I haven't asked a question for a while, and really didn't feel like asking one tonight...
Anybody seen tragic typos around lately??

Your name does not sound old. I can't believe someone took the time to insult your name. Angry mean people do stuff like that. I tried to e-mail you back in response to your last e-mail to me, but it said you were no longer excepting e-mails. That was a good explanation. Thanks for looking that up and sharing it with me. I'm glad you went to your bible on that one. I'm glad it was in the bible. That makes me feel better. Thanks!!

Here's the thing. Before religion or God, men ruled by brute strength. Men of old, like Nimrod, were worshipped for brutality, not thier superior brains. God never said the woman was to be submissive, they simply had no choice. I wonder what the Lie told in the beginning was? The most powerful are still looked up to as leaders today. Woman never question it. That is why men can continue to Lie, and get away with it.

God made man perfect that is why we start out as a child, children know more than an adult ever will. on how to live life the right way. They see the beauty within they hold no anger or prejudice that is the bible says to come before God as a small child.

It is the world that has made us stupid.

Man needs to learn to be able to grow, If he did not experience this life how would he know what pain and suffering, knowledge and stupidity, pleasure and hope. There are many things we learn If we were smarter we may not enjoy a lot of those things as we would be able to avoid many of them. remember he gave us a brain that we only use a little of we have way more capacity for a more perfect body that we will end up with.

Well it would seem to me that stupidity helps you relate.

"What was it that Adam ate that he wasn't supposed to eat? It wasn't just an apple. It was the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The subtle message? 'Get smart and I'll f*** you over' sayeth the Lord. God is the smartest, and he doesn't want any Competition. Is this not an absolutely anti-intellectual religion?"

There are many who are very intellectual who do not understand and relate to God. By nature man/woman is rebellious.

you can see from your other answers that people have vastly different understandings of God.

Stupid is a common description of people who do not see things the same way we do.

That appears to be the way God wanted it.

God didnt want us to relate or understand him. Where in the bible do you find this? We can never in a million years understand why God does what he does. He is almighty, and we are wicked and sinful. He only wants us to repent of our sins, and believe in HIm. He will take care of the rest.
