My friend has been dating her boyfriend for almost 2 years. They are both in college and are an hour away from eachother. They both have busy schedules and often do not talk alot during the day because they are both busy and they often go a few weeks without seeing eachother. This is both their first real serious relationship and have never really experienced being single in the college setting. It is hard to keep a strong relationship because of all these reasons. They both still have strong feelings for eachother but, it is hard for them given the situation. Do you have any advice for what they should do with their relationship??

i think they should continue dating... you said yourself they have still have strong feelings for each other regardless of distance... im actually in the same situation.. im an hour away from my gf... and i go two to three weeks sometimes without seeing her... but regardless... when we do see each other.. we make the best of it and it just makes us stronger as a couple and we still love each other just as much as someone who sees his girlfriend or boyfriend everyday.. you can also say seeing our significant other is a stress reliever from the whole college thing

If they are serious about making it work, then it will work. If it is nothing more than an inconvenience to each other, then maybe they should consider taking a break until they can see each other more consistantly. (summer?)

also, if it is truely meant to be, they will find each other again.

No because they did not ask. Suggest you don't advise either of them either because it's none of your business what they do. You say you're a friend and then you plant your nose firmly in their private affairs glad you're their friend and not mine.

If they want to be together they will work it out. If they want to experience other people, then have a break.
