My dog has what appears to be a blood blister on her foot, it's on the top of her foot between a couple of toes. We thought it might be a blister but there doesn't seem to be anything but blood in it. What could it be? What should we do? It seems to be a little sensitive to her and she keeps licking it?

hi it may be a cyst that may need to be removed.dogs get things like that and are very bothered by them if your dog is older that is what i think it is .if not old than ? you probably need to take your dog to the vet to have it looked at before it opens it and becomes worse.hope this helped

No one can diagnose without seeing , and even if a vet looks at he may not be able tell whether it could a sign of cancer without a needle aspiration.

Go to your vet find out for sure what it is, if is cancer the sooner it is looked and and removed the greater the chance it will be gone forever with minimal surgery required, often people will wait watching for change which could cause the cancer could spread into the leg where amputation is needed to save the dog or it has spread to organs and nothing can be done to save the dog.

The odds are it is not cancer better to have it checked out and know for sure

Go to www.vet.com
They have a section where you can ask a vet a question. It costs but not much. However you really need to get your dog to vet ASAP. It could be really serious.

Good luck!
