is it the teeline method, greg, pitman, or what?
can you suggest some good books for me to learn the most popular one?

I learnt teeline at college, but that was 14 years ago - its very out of date to use shorthand now! I reckon its telline.

Teeline is definitely the most popular - it's much easier to learn than Pitman, even if you can't get as fast.

However I don't know if it's still taught anywhere - most secretaries these days do audio dictation rather than shorthand. I learned it in journalism college 10 years ago, but I don't know if they even still teach it there - the younger journalists just use tape recorders even though these are harder to transcribe from.

I'll dig out my shorthand book tonight and post the title.

The only one I know is Pitman having done the course & got the diploma, but never put to practice. Who uses shorthand these days??
