The Catholic Church is already involved.

One example is this letter from the Vatican to the 14th Session of the United Nations' Commission on Sustainable Development of the Economic and Social Council on 11 May 2006 in New York City: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/secretariat_state/2006/documents/rc_seg-st_20060511_ecosoc_en.html

With love in Christ.

The Catholic Church should get involved to help all the people in poor countries that are HURT by anti-global warming policies. They force those people to either buy expensive clean energy sources or go without electricity entirely!

Also, global warming is a natural phenominon that has happened millions of times in the Earth's past. It wasn't harmful all the times it happened before now, like in the Middle Ages when it turned all of Europe into a lush temporate paradise. Watch this video to see what I mean:

Global warming isn't an ethical or doctrinal subject. Therefore the Church has no role on it. Of direction any proficient individual, inside the Church or external it, is aware of that "worldwide warming" is a fantasy.

Why specifically the Catholic church?

I expect them to take an interest in it very soon. I think this will be the issue that unites the powers in the final battle for world domination. Feel free to email me if you like to discuss this further.

The Church has always been involved in issues that have something to do with our environment. I am sure the Church will also get involved on this issue soon.

Peace and every blessing!

I'm sure they've put their two cents in and left it at that.
