We get our water from a well. Its perrfectly clean and tastes cleaner, fresher, and better than bottled water and is just as clear.

Well I looked at a question earlier and it said that their well water effected their hair.

Does it have an effect on your hair??

It is actually better for your hair. No fluoride and such like city water. It is in it's most pure form. Especially good for color treated hair.

There are pros and cons.
Well water can have a lot of minerals and metals dissolved in it, and those can affect the hair. But depending on the well, those minerals could either weigh the hair down (for example lead, mercury, iron) or infuse the hair with minerals it needs (like calcium, potassium, and silica).
So if you use well water and you think it works well for your hair, then you're lucky enough to have a well that has a good balance of the right minerals.

My grandmother swore by rainwater collected in an old barrel, said that was the best for washing hair. But that was in the days before acid rain.

I didn't know where i was getting this red tint to my hair. When I asked my stylist she said it was from my well water. I have yet to find a way to stop this from happening.
