My granmother is in her early 60's she has been so sick the past few months, when she eats anything even something simple she gets like deathly sick and can't eat or drink almost for days or weeks without being fainty and having diarrhea so bad she gets weak that the dr. threatens to put her in the hospital but now she won't go back to the dr. cause of it and she's still sick, is there any doctors on here that can tell me what maybe the problem, I think she has a quack of a dr. anyway. Could it be something serious or just something she's allergic to that she eats, b/c my Dad would always get sick when eating salads until he found out the stuff they wash them in at restraunts was making him sick, could that be the case...please help

She is also a diabetic if that has anything to do with her symptoms.

Light headedness and diarrhea are symptoms for coeliac disease. This is an intolerance to all gluten containing products. If this is the case she would need to avoid things such as the following unless they are specifically marked "gluten free":-

Coeliac disease is a medical condition which causes a permanent intestinal intolerance to the glutein protein found in barley, oats, wheat and rye.

She will get immediate relief by avoiding foods that cause allergy symptoms such lack of balance, dizziness and diarrhea.

If this is the case she will also need to get herself some good quality multi B complex vitamins to ensure that her energy levels remain increased. B vitamins, in particular the B12 component, will increase her energy level, maintain a healthy nervous system, relieve moodiness and irritability, ease depression, fatigue and exhaustion and improve concentration memory and balance. The B2 (Riboflavin) contained in such a supplement would relieve symptoms she may have such as sore lips, mouth and tongue, cracked and splitting skin around her fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling eyes.

If my advice has been helpful in any way I am very very glad to have been able to give you a small amount of peace....:0)

BTW make sure any supplements you buy are not synthetic as synthetic supplements are very hard to digest. Also make sure that they are gluten free !!

Could be colon cancer; my great aunt had it and her digestive system completely broke down. By the time you get to this level, it's usually way far advanced. She slowly starved to death, as her colon became increasingly blocked by the tumors, and had chronic diarrhea that cause severe dehydration. She eventually died of kidney failure due to the stress on her system. Really frightening. I doubt she'd develop an allergy this late in life, and yes diabetes may play a role. I am not a dr, but I have seen this happen in a few people in my family, and it could be anything, but most such things are very serious. Ask her if she'd rather die a horrible death than get treatment, and see what she says then. Maybe she just doesn't know how serious such illnesses are...

i hope my answer helps her .... it might be a stomach infection or bacteria. it very important that she stays in a certain diabetic diet cuz my mom kinda gets sick when she eats junk food . also might be she has so many toxins in her body and needs to release them from her body . have her take a body detoxs, they sell them in any health food store . she needs to probably cleanse her body from food poisons.
