will i have to carry a gun, mase, taser guns, etc. i have no problem with carring those. And will i be requested to carry them?

most don't. you can go to a trade school and get your 120 hours training, then you will be able to carry a gun and be able to get a higher wage.
your average run of the mill security gaurd carries no gun, has no training, and get's paid crap. he's basically a monkey in a phoney cop suit.
not true on the nightstick. you have to be trained to carry that as well.

Depends where you work, as for a armor guard you will have to have to be trained and certified to carry a gun, stick handcuffs the basic. a guard card is required for all security guards after so many hours of class, any police records you are denied, every year the card is renewed only if you take and pass the requirement's,and let remarks such as robot cop,rent a cop, easy money, for females remarks as baby handicapp me, I like a woman in uniform, security is the most disrespect job , and you have employers will work you 24 hours if they could, scream yell and you are always be wrong. For those with the the smart *** remarks get a security job,
its hard job and you will wish you were anyplace else.
In all fields you have the good and bad but any outsider of the professions needs to taste the hell security goes Thur. or get a job. Same crap different day

The requirements for a security guard depend on what's being secured. Many security jobs merely require a warm body to be present. Heavily armed guards are usually reserved for more dangerous assignments, i.e., armored car jobs.
Most states now have regulations in place that require the guard to be certified by a state agency and qualified to carry a weapon.

Getting on as a security guard is fairly easy.There are armed and unarmed posts, but they train you in the use of weapons.Whether you carry these thing is up to your employer.
