I think that she looks like a Dutch Shepherd or Boxer mixed with either Australian Shepherd or Border Collie.

It's hard to tell from those pictures, but I don't see pit bull at all. People might think that from her coloring, but I think they are mixing up brindling with merle coloring. She looks like she has an "uphill build" like a German Shepherd, so there might be some of that in there. The Collie suggestion I'm sure is coming from the coloration again. People seem to always think mixes have some lab in them. It's really so hard to tell with any mix. I hope that's not the reason you want to switch vets because your next one won't know either!
She's lovely though and looks well loved. And if a dirty dog is the sign of a bad owner then I'm in trouble because my dogs get dirty *a lot* when I take them out to play!

I believe my friend that you have an austrailian shepherd mix. The pics are a little hard to see. Austrailian shepherds are from the working dog type and are extremely loyal. If you look at the hair, (texture) size & eyes, that's what I see. Although, I haven't seen one exactly that color. Most are a blue merle color with maybe 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye, both blue, or both brown. Check them out on the web and see what you come up with. Pits have a square face. Labs are slick haired. She is a bit short and a more rounded face than a german shepherd, but she may actually have a bit of collie in her.
Check out the Austrailian shepherds and let me know what you think. Good luck. She's a keeper!

Wow, I think you've got a mix of everything in her! Pics aren't that great but I'd say German Shepherd x Golden Retriever x Lab x Collie x Shepherd x
It's hard to tell. Get a new vet and ask them. They should have some clue.
She's really cute!

Well, I'd say an Australian Shepherd mix. Maybe Golden and/or Chow also. In the pictures by herself she looks big, but in the pictures with you she looks like a mid to smaller sized dog(did she grow?), maybe Cocker Spaniel? All the breeds I mentioned can come up with the brindle color with an out-cross, and the "too shy" temperament is also common.
Also, vets study medicine, not breeds, so having one tell you that he does know what breed your dog is may be a good thing, at least he's honest!

Kinda gave me the impression of an irish wolfhound/german shepherd mix. Have like the wiry hair of the hound (maybe some schnauzer?) but the body of a shepherd....definitely NOT pitbull, too long muzzle and narrow skull.
And ppl should rate their vet for what they know about medicine, not dog breeds. I think I'd rather trust a doctor that is capable of telling me "I don't know" than to come up w a lie to make themselves look smart. Specially in a dog that is such a mistery :-)

Well I would have to say Golden-lab either way she is beautiful and from what I could see of the pictures(they are fuzzy) she is very beautiful she is a lucky girl. Take good care of her Could she have some Irish Sitter in her? Not to sure tho. And yes get a vet if your no longer comfortable with him, but I would rather have a vet or Dr tell me they didn't know something when they didn't instead of making it up, or just leading you on for ever. Lets face it, not anyone knows everything, unless your a teenager of course,lol.... but if your uncomfortable do change.

Honestly, it looks exactly like my old dog Gruffy, she was a Mudi (yours looks like possibly a Brown merle Mudi).
If not, she's def a mut, which is great, they get all the characteristics/temperments/intellegence from all it's certain breeds. To fation a guess, I'd say she's more than likely mixed w/ German or Belgian Sheppard (not austrailian sheppard however, your girl looks too big height/weight/build to have A. S. in her) and I see some Otterhound resemblence too.
And yes you need a new vet, any vet worth their salt can look at a dog and can at least single out one breed in particular it has in it by it's traits, build, size, color, coats, etc. And yes vets have to know a little something about breeds (vets work FOR my family) each breed/type of dog has their own medical problems associated w/ them and they have to be able to determine breeds sometimes in mutts to help w/ the dogs medical care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is very important to know at least some of the breeds your dog may be for those reasons.

I think she looks like a mix of German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. She has long snout of the German Shepherd and the golden wavy coat & body shape of the Golden Retriever. Seems to have the laid back personality of the Golden but the mannerisms and stance of the Shepherd.
Take her to the local animal shelter's vet and ask for help in identifying her breeds. They are very familiar with mixes as they see a large variety of breed mixes.
Yes it makes her a Hienz 57 or a mutt but she is beautiful and I praise you guys for taking her in. Bless you!

I have a german shepard and she looks nothing like him....IF she has pit in her it's very little cause I don't see it in her...Maybe some lab, collie, something like that....I would definitly get a new vet because he should at least be able to tell you what she may or may not have in her....She sure is cute though!!!

Definitely looks like she has German Shepherd & Border Collie. That mix could easily produce the ''brindle'' coloration on medium length fur.
But in all truth, anyone's guess is about the same amount of accuracy. No one can truly tell you what breeds your dog is, unless they know the parents.
