We, people who live in Paris, like august because the weather is great, very sunny (it's not florida but it's nice) and all the cranky are on holliday outside. There is quite some tourists but it's not too crowded because at this time of the year, they prefer south of France an sincerely, most of the tourists are really friendly.

Believe me, I live in Paris and I never leave the city in august, it's the BEST TIME!!!!

In my opinion the best time is in late September thru October.

The weather is very pleasant and most of the tourists have gone home so things will be less crowded.

Air fares are usually reasonable and prices for hotel rooms will be a bit lower.

In my opinion spring is the best time to go, but fall is also nice. Not surprisingly, summer is the peak tourist season, so expect long lines at major monuments and attractions if you go during that time, and shorter lines the rest of the year. Have a great trip if you go!

I went in late June, and the weather was perfect. No matter when you go, its a gorgeous place and you will be plesenly suprised how beautiful it is. June and July is said to be the heaviest visited times but it did not seem that congested when I went.
I reccomend going in the spring/summer though so you wont have to pack as much (like heavy coats and stuff) so you can have that much more room to buy new stuff :)

Good luck!

Always busy. It rains a lot in paris. Try to go in the summertime (july/august) and you might not get rained on.
