and believe it as truth? I don't think it will work out with this guy, so I'm telling myself (and him) that it won't work.

Nope not nuts......its helped me alot of times.
Helps keep u focused and moving forward instead of feeling as though u have possibly made a mistake.
I think its something everyone should do myself.
