there is always a junior prom and a senior prom at my school. right now i have a HUGE crush on a senior, but i'm only a junior. i'm friends with him, but we're not soooo close. we've been getting closer for the past couple weeks tho. i want to ask him if he wants to go with me to my junior prom, but i dont know how to go about asking him.

i could be like "i have a question... but don't say no! will u go to prom with me?" or something like that, but i feel like he might say no - and then i'll be even more embarassed than i would have if i just said "will u go to my prom with me"

so.. how do i ask him?
and how do i deal with the rejection that might be?

get him alone and just ask him "i know your probably going to your senior prom... but i dont have a date for my junior prom... and i was hoping you could go with me... you would save money on tuxes for both times! "

and if he rejects you... there could be other reasons why e said no.. like hes going to his senior and has a date or something.. or hes busy... but dont let it get you down... since you guys are getting close... keep it that way...

I'm an adult who wasted time being shy in High School and a guys point of view.
Best advise "Just ask!" If he likes you more than a friend or just as a friend, he'll probably say yes. A good way is to say could be "Hey I'm looking forward to going to Junior Prom and since we seem to be having fun together lately. I was wondering if you would go with me!" If prom is not to close you could ask him out to do something else first to test how it would go. Prom in front of a lot of people from school might be to public for him to decide on how much he likes you.

Also I found that growing up there are always more opportunities out there and you just need to be straight forward.

Hope that helps.

Dont worry...if he says no its not the end of the world. Yeah, you might feel like crap if he does say not but if he does just be like "oh ok well anyways" and just start talking about something else. Just go for it...the longer you wait the more your going to get worried about it.

Don't be so afraid of rejection. If you are afraid of being rejected all the time you will never take risks and you will always wonder what would have or could have been. If you don't ask, you will never know, if he says no, oh well, his loss. There are PLENTY of other fish in the sea!
