impossible bet?

Question

At work about everyday me and co-workers make bets for money to make the time go by. We start tabs in Darts, ping pong, and polish golf. Lately we've been into the money on the table type stuff. I need a bet that i can give two to one odds and am guaranteed victory.

We have done: The gallon challenge, drink raw eggs, and eat six crackers in a minute.

I need something along those lines, that seem possible but really are not.

I've got two for you:

First:
When you're out with the others, bet that you can drink three pints of beer before someone else can down three 1-ounce shots. The thing is, they have to give you a one-beer head start and neither of you can touch the other person's glasses.

Drink your first beer. When you're done, place your empty glass upside down over one of your opponent's shots. Now you can finish your other two beers at your leisure -- they're not allowed to touch your glass so that third shot won't be finished until you remove your glass.


And secondly:
(This one requires a bit of work but the pay off is cool.)

The bet is that you will switch drinks from one glass to the other. Here's how:

Ask the bartender to fill a shot glass with water and another with a thick liqueur.
Take the liqueur shot and cover it with your driver's license. Carefully turn it upside down, and put it on top of the water shot, so that your driver's license is between the two glasses.

Very gently pull on your driver's license to create a very small opening between the two glasses. Because of a combination of gravity and density, the heavier liqueur will flow into the lower glass, forcing the water to flow up into the top glass.

Make an ice cube sink!!! All you need to do is buy some 'heavy' water from a science/teacher website and freeze it. Heavy water has a few extra neutrons, so it is actually heavier than normal water and it is still H2O, but it looks exactly the same. Of course, normal ice will float, so don't get the two confused otherwise you will lose the bet.

This SEEMS impossible so you will always win, but it is really not impossible so people will always bet against you and lose.

Here's one that was pulled on me. Pull out a nice new looking dollar bill, and tell your "friend" If they can put the bill flat and tight over their forearm, take a ciggarette and burn a hole through the bill while it is on their arm you will give them $20, or $X, and if they cannot do it with the bill tighly on their forearm they owe you $X.XX. They will not win, you will, because not many people know it is "not possible" (I have the scar to prove it and a very high pain tolerance... I lost). You will burn your arm through the bill before the bill burns.

then when they say ok... tell them you already did it and tell them to lift the cup to check... when they lift the cup... take the object.... see .... you didnt touch the cup and got the object!
