He is a senior. That makes him feel old, oder than just the year's difference in your ages. He will be going to college and you will still have two more years of high school. That's why he thinks you're too young. Keep tabs on what he is doing - when you are college age, he might meet you again if he's not involved with someone.

You are not too young for a senior boy especially since he is 17 and you are only 16. So, your assignment if you choose to take it is....to have him see you a little more sophisticated. Not too much where you might look sillly so just a touch. Little more makeup/more sophisticated dress and invite him to a school function or even dinner out one evening. Then you can tell him your highlights of why and were and then let him have the same chance to tell his side. After that ,,,you're going to have to wait from him to come around to another date. If two months pass then I.d buy a silly little stuffed animal and bring it to his door and have it attempt to hand him a second invite.
If It;s a no no no...:You've done what you can ...start looking for someone else who mighy not have so many restrictions . High school is time for work but it is also time for FUN so if he doesn't work look around and try another. It doesn.t cost u much

He sounds stubborn and stupid. Anyone like this is worth dumping. Hell pick on you about every little thing. YOu sound like you have common sense. Go for someone without all the mental baggage.

He is right and you are wrong.

At least, he's right according to the law.

I know it seems silly, but if you are sexually active, he would
be committing statutory rape. Do you really want him to commit
a crime?

i do not think anything is wrong with it personally, as long as you get permission from your parents, maybe that's what he is worried about? going to jail?

I'd say get to know him first, then see where it goes.
