Gallstone attacks are normally caused by the gall bladder needing to move bile to aid digestion in the stomach and a gallstone getting lodged in the duct. A norovirus causes vomiting, and perhaps the gallbladder is excreting bile which got a stone lodged.

If this is you, look into to getting your gallbladder removed via laproscopic surgery - it's really routine now and recovery time is quick. Better than suffering gallstone attacks which can be excruitiating.
