Your body isn't "letting" you because a 15 year old girl who is 5'5" and weighs 128lbs is TOTALLY NORMAL!!!!

Your weight is FINE! Keep eating well and exercising... both are good for you. But don't obsess over a couple of pounds, people go up and down a couple pounds during the day all the time.

You have been excercising so you are gaining muscle weight while losing fat. Muscle weighs more than fat which is why you can't seem to lose any more weight. You appear to be at the right weight for your height. This is why your body doesn't want to lose anymore pounds. As a teenager you need to be careful about how you are dieting. You could cause calcium losses in your bones now that will affect you later as an adult when it is too late to fix. Also, other organs can be effected when you don't get proper nutrition. You are only 15 and you are still growing. You also want to keep in mind that when you diet (cut calories too much) you tell your body your are starving and it slows down your metabolism thus making it EASIER for you to gain weight when you go off the diet. I spent ten years yo-yo dieting because I listened to all those stupid teen magazines that said at 15 years old and 5'2" I had to weigh only 100 pounds. I weighed 115 and I looked fine, but those magazines had me believing otherwise. So by the time I was 26 I was pushing 200 pounds because I gained a lot of insurance weight on top of injuring my back. Don't fall victim to the impossible body image "ideals" you see in those magazines and on tv. The more you time and energy you spend focusing on every little calorie you eat, the less time and energy you have for the things that really make life enjoyable.

You may be losing fat and gaining muscle depending on what type of exercise you do. This would most likely occur if you were lifting. A better gauge of your weight is to measure your bodyfat with some calipers you can get from a gym or GNC. If your bf% goes down yet your weight remains the same using the calipers, youre gaining muscle. If you want to lose some more weight and are using weights, cut back from them by 50% and increase your cardio portion of your routine. WALKING briskly 5 xs a week for an hour, has been shown to reduce bodyfat better than jogging or running the same amount...That should drop your weight AND fat and still keep your muscles happy.

keep doing what you're doing girl. you're on the right track. maybe try taking hot yoga classes. it makes you sweat a lot, it burns about 300 cal. if you take 1200 a day, u need to burn more calories than 1200. if you only burn 1000, you will gain that extra 200. try this : set your goal. for example if you wanna lose down to lets say 110lbs, add a zero after that number, making it 1100, thats how much calories you want to take in a day..and try losing that amount of calories by exercising! i've been doing tae bo and hot yoga and it feels great! oh &EAT HEALTHY! maybe junk food once a week =)

Stop counting calories. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

Maybe you could try some other form of diet and exercise. What you are trying now may not be right for you.I recommend doing yoga.It not only helps you lose weight, but it also helps build muscle and flexibility. There are classes you can go to, or you can buy a yoga DVD and do it in your own home.Either would help you soooo much!

You are probably gaining muscle mass which is denser than fat but will make you difined and "fit looking". Ignore the scale and get a measuring tape. None of your clothing sizes are listed in lbs or kilograms.

Here are some links to a weekly workout to add some variety and some info on measuring body composition.
