i went out with my best friend that i have known since kindergarten and we went out for like 7 months but things started to die down. i just broke up with him a couple of weeks ago and at the time it felt right, but now i realize i still have feelings for him... but i want to save our friendship. we're both 17 and neither of us never really had a real relationship before each other. i think i love him... but i'm not sure if i just love him as a friend. what should i do?

If you're not sure and have to think about it, then that is cerebral, not emotional. Don't toy with him if you are only marginally interested. Wait until you are CRAZY in love with someone, then you will know.

Of course you love your best friend. Why not? That is what real love is. You know in your heart that best Friends do not grow on tress, and that they can depended on and counted on to life your spirits, be there for you and visa Versa. If you need info about relationships, read

He, She and We. These are 3 very short books by Robert Johnson. None others will be necessary. The fact is that your love for one another stile must have individual desires, dreams and goals which you both must be supportive of. Perhaps, you had some sort of expectations about what a romance with him would be. Let go and enjoy who he is and is not. and visa Vera.

I don't think you love him, you certainly like him but being able to break up I think you were more afraid he may do it because it was dying down...everything dyes down...its the good times that keep you going through such times...I think right now you regret breaking up but I don't think its because love...I'd stay good friends and this attraction just may bring you back together when you both know how you feel about each other...good luck.

Well, deep friendships have similar feelings to love. You have to go with what feels the most comfortable to you. I think you both need time to grow too. Remember, if this is the love that is meant to be, it will happen.

You should hang out with him as a friend and see how it plays out. If there is still chemistry there things will happen naturally, dont force things either way.

you ever heard of someone ever stating better friends then lovers.i one time i had dated a man that was friends with first and then i dated him then i dated him and i found that i was better at being friends was better because he treated me better.now he looks at me as his lil sister and i look at him as my buddy and that is it.we still share our thoughts but we dont love each other like a boyfriend and girlfriend just like sister and brother because we dont have as much fights as we did couple.

you cant keep jumping back and forth. dont confuse him! it just messes up EVERYTHING. make sure you express how you feel (about the friendship) and i'm sure he'll understand
