the annoucement is expected as early as tuesday March 27th but with both Ultimate Fight Night 9 and UFC 69 just around the corner they may put it off and announce it then.
Some think that since the Feirrita Brothers are the rumored purchasers (not ZUFFA) that there will be no announcement and PrideFC will continue to opperate as usual (except for maybe some damage control involving cleaning house of those involved in the Yakuza situation) but you will know for sure by UFC 70 (April 21st on SpikeTV at 9pm) because Cro Cop is fighting and if they have purchased Pride then we will surely see some Highlight Footage of Mirko from his past Pride fights.

that would be crazy if they merged. not really sure if its a good or bad thing. i thought pride was going to work a deal with hbo, since ufc was on spike. it seems like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon of MMA. showtime had one a while back, and i just saw couple of new ones called bodogfight on cable and IFL on a local channel used to be on FSN, i think.
