I few years ago I received my Swiss ID. Now I am wondering, does that mean I have dual citizenship? (I'm Canadian by birth, but my dad is Swiss).

Yes, you do have double citizenship. The European "model" goes after the blood, not according the place of birth.

But actually you should have a Swiss passport then - and not an ID (IDs are only for Swiss citizens living in Switzerland, as far as I know).
