you should trim your hair every 6 weeks and it will grow a lot faster!!!
also i recently went to the salon and they said that using "over the counter" shampoo (from aussie, pantene, thermasilk, g. fructise, john frieda, even head and shoulders!) is about the same as using comet or tide (yeah those are toilet and clothes cleaners!!!) on your hair! they said that they dry your scalp out which dries your hair out and can lead to breakage.
so if you can afford buying salon shampoo...DO!!!
and if you dont have the money to buy $100 or more of hair products every other month (most people dont!) then i suggest going to Fantastic Sams.
they have their own brand of products and their shampoo and cond. are only $6 a bottle vs. $25-$30!!!

Yes you should keep your ends trimmed.Do you color your hair alot? Also try a deep conditioning at a salon , there are some real good protein conditioners, Cloud Nine repair by Brocato is a very good line (Italian ) But there are many others , this is what we use in our salon and the customers love it I recommend Once a month and a good trim every 6 weeks if needed.

Get your split ends cut off. Then, either have the beauty salon TREAT it or BUY a deep conditioning treatment yourself.
Keep getting your split ends cut off. It should begin to grow!!! And use the deep conditioner as needed.

your scalp could probably use some work..... find a shampoo that thinkens you hair and get it cut regularly to keep it healthy. Do not wash it everyday!!! hair needs it natural oils, even pros say it. Get a friend to give a good scalp massage. It sends blood to the skin and hair follicles stimulating hair growth. Also try not to straighten/blowdry/die for best results...

It has to be the way your styling your hair. Are you blowdrying too much or using irons? You have to recondition and take care of your hair.
Go see a good hairdresser and get some great advise about your hair.
Good Luck!!
