Ok well there's this girl at school I really like. I just want to know if she likes me so I know if I should ask her out yet (or ask her and her friends to hang out) or not yet. I want to know what you think. I usually start a conversation with her every so often, usually about soccer (since it's what she plays) or about the classes we have together in school. I usually talk to her about once or twice a day when I happen to meet her "randomly" in the hallway and everytime I do she smiles a lot and keeps it going until we got to get to class (but since this is during passing periods, it usually a 1-2 min conversation). She doesn't really start conversations with me (does this mean anything????) but when I start one with her, she keeps it going and smiles a lot. She doesn't talk to a lot of guys, just some of her friends. We have 5 / 7 classes together, but she doesn't sit close to me in most of them (and I don't want to shout across the room). So with this, do you think she likes me?

And I really do not want to ask one of her friends to see if she likes me, because I've learned from one experience, and other peoples' experiences that those things are rarely kept secret.

From what I can tell, she defintely likes you as a friend, and she may even have feelings for you, but I would recommend trying to become closer friends with her first. You might also want to see how she acts around her guy friends. Many girls act flirty with their guy friends, but are either shy around the guys that they like, or are just as flirty with them. So my advice is to get to know her out of the context of school and soccer. Find out what else she likes, and if the signs tell you that she does indeed have feelings beyond friendship towards you, go for it!

Usually when a girl smiles a lot it means she is being polite and doesnt really want to hurt your feelings. If she moves around a lot when you talk she is probably not intrested in you. If she doesnt start the conversations or sit next to you she is probably not intrested. The only way to know however is to flat out ask her. Whats the worst that can happen? You still won't be with her is she says no but you don't have to dwell on her. Look man life is too short to pussyfoot around man. If you like her go for it!! Good Luck

she might it's hard to tell girls are complicated, I would know because I am one LOL :) anyways the reason she may not start conversations with you is because she's shy or maybe she just doesn't really know what to talk about
