Well I straighten My hair every day and i have wavy hair too.
I think you need to find a good styling product I like Bed Heads Control freak. Its a little expensive but works well. If you cant afford spending that much money try Garnier frutcis. I like them.
Fisrts Apply the Priduct to hair "damp hair" Or the night before if you shower the night before. And Take a straighner and tie up the first top section of hair. straighten from Root to tip until hair is very striaght. then un tie and start top section. after you finish the sections Re-straighten all sections Modertly.
Apply a shine serum and somb. Wallaaa! perfecteo la Hair

Go out and get you some leave in conditoner for the dryness like any loreal products,or Paul Mitchum. For the straighting buy you a good straightener not one of those cheap ones at least get one that's over forty dollars. Hope this helps. Good luck

OK i have the same problem. This is what i do:
Take showers at night before you go to bed. then straighten it and sleep on it.
In the morning you will have to touch it up but it should be straighter, shinier, and flatter.
Also you can use hairspray or special defrizzing sprays. such as bedhead ( after party) or other things. USE A STRAIGHTENER:] hope it helps.
