A while back like a month ago the guy have been dating was a little drunk and basically told me he loved me at a party. I TURNED AROUND DIDN"T SAY A WOR AND WALKED OFF!!! i felt bad later but i panicked!!!! Then last night when I was a little tipsy he said it again on the phone and i didn't sayy anything for like 3 minutes!!!! I panicked again!!! Why doesn't he get it that im not ready to say it???

He may get it, but he's still gonna say that HE loves YOU. If it makes you uncomfortable, let him know. If he really does love you, it won't matter and he'll give you the time and space you are looking for without suffocating you with "I love you"s all the time.
To the person above me: he may actually mean it. It's just that some guys have trouble saying it. Alcohol makes a lot of people say what's on their minds, things that they've been refraining from saying. Don't judge him just because he was drunk.

Mostly because guys are dumb. Look I would like to think of myself as an intelligent person but when guys get around girls our IQ drops big time. I would say he feels strongly about you and wants you to feel the same way. You are probably going to have to actually tell him that you are not ready to say that yet. Guys don't follow clues or signs well you just have to be flat out blunt sometimes.

You have absolutely nothing to feel bad about!! It should tip you off that the only time dude says those three lil words is when he's wasted!! Honey, don't waste your time with this one. If he must be inebriated to tell you how he feels, or if he's just sayin that to get in your pants, then--walk away for good this time. If it were genuine, most guys would say it when they're NOT DRUNK.

it's hard for some guys to get it.
some of them think that if they tell their girlfriends that they love them, they think that they would squeel with pleasure and drift off to heaven in happiness.
of course, girls don't do that (thank god)
ur guy probably doesn't think like this, and if it really does bother u, tell him that ur not ready to talk to him like that.
if he gets mad at u and starts getting into ur face or watever, wait a while for him to cool
its easier for guys to be blunt than for girls sometime, u know
if he continues being mad at u, forget it
if he can't accept something as small as that, why put up with it?
u can choose to break up with him, but u must really like him, right?
it will hurt, but soon u will know that love is very confusing, and can blind u from the truth. u'll find the guy who can really accept u and the way u feel.
don't worry.
everyone goes through that kind of stuff.
it hurts, but its inevitable when it come to life.

Because in his mind he figures that you've been wanting to say it but you've been waiting for him to say it first. so now that he has he doesn't understand why you won't say it. Guys aren't psychics which isn't a bad thing they just need you to explain everything. So just tell him your glad he feels that way but you're just not ready to quite say it back yet. If he truly loves you he'll completely understand. But don't expect him to stop saying it cause if he truly feels that way for you than he should be able to express that to you as well.

it's called communication...give him enough respect to tell him how you feel....if you like him, tell him that, but don't leave him hanging! It's one thing to panic, but you are just being rude!
