Dec 98 I bought a car at a buy here, pay here place, stupid of me. I was expecting a child in a few weeks and needed a car. What I didn't know is that the car I bought was not going to pass inspection in my state. I lived in PA at the time and car was inspected in NY. In April of 99,I was still trying to get paperwork for car to actually have it inspected in PA. Had been driving on a temp reg sticker. PA mech wouldn't pass it, said the brakes were rusted thru and there was no way that this happened in such a short space of time. I tried to return the car and was asked what I was complaining about cuz the car lasted for 4 mths. I can no longer drive car so I told them to take it. Now I owe the difference. They get a pmt when they garnish my wages. It has been a year since last pmt as I have new emp. Now I have received a letter from a local law firm subpeopning my finacial info and that they will be taking my tax return. Do I have any rights at all?

You didn't inspect the car before buying it..you took a risk. Unless the used car dealer defrauded you with lies, there is not much you can do. You could have fixed up the car to pass inspections, but you didn't. You also had your wages garnished, which shows that you weren't financially responsible. Learn from your mistakes and move on with your life. Be careful, and be responsible.

i assume you advise your automobile became repossessed, not repossed. permit me provide you the reason it became, quoting you. "...we've been previous due in basic terms 2 months..." You had not made a fee in 2 months. needless to say you hadn't contacted the financial employer explaining why you hadn't made a fee. somebody from the financial employer certainly went to the handle, and there became no one there to talk to different than a neighbor who advised them the homestead became empty. became it? not that it concerns. undergo in strategies the papers signed on the beginning up of the interior maximum loan? frequently you agreed to maintain coverage on the motor vehicle, call the lender as loss payee contained in terms of entire loss, to make time-honored money, and to pay the fees of repossession if that became mandatory. So the respond is. specific, they are able to try this. No, they don't permit you recognize while they plan to repossess the motor vehicle. in the event that they did, you ought to conceal it from them. perhaps your grandfather can get the motor vehicle back by using making up the previous due money and the fees of the repossession. sometime although after a repossession the financial employer will insist that the full stability be paid formerly they'll return it. yet this is a question for the financial employer. if youin case you don't get it back, they'll supply it on the marketplace at public sale, and deduct the sale fee from the stability of the interior maximum loan plus the fees of repossession and sale training, and the guy who signed the unique loan would be responsible for the the rest stability, plus that individual now has a repossession of their credit checklist. looks like somebody might desire to have stored up money and communicated with the financial employer if there became a difficulty doing that. yet lower back, specific, it is the way repossessions artwork, and specific the mindset became ideal and criminal.
