Please don't accept a word nascar says. Says Silverado is better quality than a Toyota?

Lexus, Toyota and Honda models dominate the segment rankings. Lexus models lead in four segments: GS
300/GS 430 (midsize premium car), LS 430 (large premium car), SC 430 (premium sporty car) and GX 470
(midsize premium MAV).

Four Toyota models also lead in their respective segments: Echo (sub-compact car),
RAV4 (compact MAV), Highlander (midsize MAV) and Tundra (large pickup).

Honda models rank highest in
three segments: Civic (compact car), S2000 (compact premium sporty car) and Odyssey (van).

Models by Acura,
Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Mazda, Mercury and GMC each rank highest in only one segment.

THE TUNDRA ranked highest in all segments according to JD POWERS.

The daily insider from Car and Driver has already mentioned that more people, including some domestic owners, are trading their full size in for the new Tundra. Check out the link below. It is the first to offer 381 horsepower V8 with 6-speed automatic transmission and standard 18-inch tires. The make the truck so powerful and strong that it is much better than the previous one. Check it out at local Toyota dealerships!

I read a long article about all the research Toyota engineers did before designing this truck like visiting junk yards to see what parts were weak, and construction sites to see what workers wanted improved in trucks, and studying previous sales records to see what options were popular ETC ETC ETC.

I'm not sure where the 5.7 engine came from. It may be a new design, but that wouldn't scare ME at all. I'm planning to buy the new one after I think up a convincing reason to give my wife

I just got one! It ROCKS!!!

I have owned Chev, Ford, Dodge, Isuzu, etc. trucks. I really like the Tundra for its looks, comfort, features, etc. It is ahead of domestic trucks for its abilibty to shift manually or automatically (on the fly changes), safety features and ability to disable them easily, quality, resale value, etc.

Not saying the other trucks are no good, but in my opinion, this one is the better than anything else I looked at.

If the Tundra really is the best truck, then why has the Silverado won the two most prestigious awards? The Silverado is the Motor Trend and NACTOY truck of the year. The Silverado is also more reliable, and just plain better, just read all of this and you will know why http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApELa33.KQ06HHlFoDYc_oHty6IX?qid=20070301210328AAn8E5d The Silverado can tow 16,000+ pounds, which is much better than the Toyotas 10,800. The Toyota is receiving much more credit than it deserves, and people will soon find out Toyota is not as good as it once was
