Why did god make my skin dark as the night sky. WHY WHY WHY?!?!?! Its is SO ugly and I'm like the ONLY one IN THE WORLD that is going through this. I cant walk the streets without people staring at me because of my stupid dark skin. WHy did he curse ME. Out of all the people in the world he picked me. I'm a good person. I dont deserve this. Why couldnt I be light skin like my sister. :-( I get made fun everyday. People walk up to me and say rude things like darkness. I did nothing to them so why do they call me that.
I tried everything to get lighter skin but nothing works. I used to put lemens on my skin but it didnt work. Nothing every works. I cry every night because im hated by everyone.
WHY couldnt I be LIGHT skin?
Why did he have to curse me. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It broke my heart reading that, first of all never say God cursed you, you are so very blessed and you are beautiful, you have accept you for you or no one else will.
when the stupid people say stupid thing to you just tell them "the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice, the darker the skin the deeper the roots".We have no control over our skin color.

Why Did You Make Me Black Lord ....

Lord .... Why did you make me black?
Why did you make someone
the world would hold back?

Black is the color of dirty clothes,
of grimy hands and feet...
Black is the color of darkness,
of tired beaten streets...Why did you give me thick lips,

a broad nose and kinky hair?
Why did you create someone

who receives the hated stare

Black is the color of the bruised eye
when someone gets hurt...
Black is the color of darkness,
black is the color of dirt.

Why is my bone structure so thick,
my hips and cheeks so high?
Why are my eyes brown,
and not the color of the sky?

Why do people think I'm useless?
How come I feel so used?
Why do people see my skin
and think I should be abused?

Lord, I just don't understand...
What is it about my skin?
Why is it some people want to hate me
and not know the person within?

Black is what people are "Labeled"
when others want to keep them away...
Black is the color of shadows cast...
Black is the end of the day.

Lord you know my own people mistreat me,
and you know this just ain't right...
They don't like my hair, they don't like my
skin, as they say I'm too dark or too light!

Lord, don't you think
it's time to make a change?
Why don't you redo creation
and make everyone the same?

GOD's Reply:

Why did I make you black?

Why did I make you black?

I made you in the color of coal
from which beautiful diamonds are formed...
I made you in the color of oil,
the black gold which keeps people warm.

Your color is the same as the rich dark soil
that grows the food you need...
Your color is the same as the black stallion and
panther, Oh what majestic creatures indeed!

All colors of the heavenly rainbow
can be found throughout every nation...
When all these colors are blended,
you become my greatest creation!

Your hair is the texture of lamb's wool,
such a beautiful creature is he...
I am the shepherd who watches them,
I will ALWAYS watch over thee!

You are the color of the midnight sky,
I put star glitter in your eyes...
There's a beautiful smile hidden behind your pain...
That's why your cheeks are so high!

You are the color of dark clouds
from the hurricanes I create in September...
I made your lips so full and thick,
so when you kiss...they will remember!

Your stature is strong,
your bone structure thick to withstand the
burden of time...
The reflection you see in the mirror,
that image that looks back,..that is MINE!

So get off your knees,
look in the mirror and tell me what you see?
I didn't make you in the image of darkness...
I made you in the image of ME!

I promise you that highschool does not last and that you will be kissed and that all the other stuff you are worrying about you will always be self conscious about. But, you dont have too.

Can you talk to your counselor at school or someone you trust?

Boy, I can remember that I had problems in highschool. Different from yours but nevertheless problems. We all have problems right? We just can't pick and choose what they are going to be.

But, I promise you this. It will pass and things change and one day the "pretty people" in your school won't be so pretty- We all age. You are just going to need a little more time to flourish.

I read your other post and you have a list of things you don't like about yourself. We all mental lists in our heads and they either begin by our parents pointing out our flaws or our peer groups. Peer groups picking on us is the worst of the worst.

I want to encourage you to seek counseling to help you work on coping skills and with your self esteem. Now, I know that doesn't answer your immediate question but since you seek truth I believe that counseling will give you the answer.

You feel like you are hated by everyone. I don't hate you. I think you should make as many friends as you can online and find support where you can and realize that looks will fade and that there are people that will care about you for what you have to offer.

The one thing I really like about your post is that I think you express yourself very well and I feel like I know you. Have you ever thought about keeping a blog of your daily feelings so that other people can be helped by it. Other 15 year olds that feel that they are cursed... Someone that maybe has........ acne? Good luck.

I'm sure there are others with dark skin like yours-i've seen several. Just ignore the other people-god made you that way for a reason. A lot of light skinned people wish they where darker. Nothing is going to make your skin lighter-so learn to love yourself.

It seems no one is happy with what God blessed them with. As a Light complected African American I used to say the same thing as you. WHY could I not have dark blue black skin that seemed to be flawless and beautiful?!?!? why was I cursed with skin so light people called me high yella, redbone, big red. White people seemed to assume my lighter skin meant they could make ignorant jokes in my presence. Eventually I stopped being mad @ god and started appreciating the beauty that is all the various shades of brown. God did not curse you. She blessed you with a beautiful skin to experience life to its fullest. I do not know how old you are. but I encourage you to look in the mirror and notice the beauty in the details. Look @ your body and notice the beauty in the details. Whatever has happened @ this time that makes you feel you are cursed hang on...get through it and on the other side you will grow to appreciate the gift of you being in the skin you are in....PEACE

Listen, the night sky is beautiful and velvet-y soft. And beauty is only skin deep -- what's in your heart is what matters to the people you know, and what will shine through.

Strangers on the street are ignorant. They don't know beauty when they see it. They yell at everyone -- the blonde girls, the fat girls, the skinny girls, the Asian girls, the black girls and the brown girls and everyone. Even some of the boys get catcalls and hollers. If you are not safe, call the police, but otherwise try and ignore it.

Look hard, and you will find black beauties. Tracy Chapman is a quiet beauty with a wonderful voice. Zap Mama, again, the same.

If you can't find beauty in your skin, look for your beauty in other places. Your laugh, your teeth, your knees, your heart. And if you can't find beauty in your heart, make it your mission to *make* beauty in your heart -- because we are all capable of beauty!

We are all capable of seeing beauty, too, but some people just don't. Ignore the idiots. Hang out with people who see your beauty.

You must be young. Enjoy your body and be thankful as to what God gave you. Alot of men like women with dark skin. I happened to be one of them before I fell in love with my wife. I used to be upset that God gave me a big nose, but I learned to live with it. You need to find the beauty within yourself. Everybody is beautiful in one way or another. Some people see it and some people don't but it is there. I hope that you learn to love yourself and be thankful for who you are. Forget what stupid people think about you and just be yourself, don't worry about the little things in life, because good things come to those who wait. I hope this will help you a little bit, if it doesn't than you will learn on your own. Good luck with everything and I hope you become more confident with yourself.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure it's not as bad as you think. Some day you will find that one person who makes you feel special. I'm sure there are people who would give anything just to be half as attractive as you. Remember, beauty fades, but dumb is forever. Focus on your education. There's lots of opportunity for you, don't throw it away. God made everyone pretty enough for practical purposes.

You are what you are, you are not the color your because God has cursed you. God is bigger than that, and yes He does love you even tho you probably think if He loved me why am I the color I am. You can let this situation work on you all your life and you and only you are the one that misses out. I feel your pain but turn it around and make it work for you. First off give thanks to God for life and ask Him how you can get to know Him better and to serve Him. For those that make fun of you that is their problem, they are the ones lacking. You are probably in good health, not in a wheel chair not disfigured not mentally challenged do not have a life threatening disease, able to work etc. Things do not happen to us or not happen to us depending on how "good" we are. We are all sinners and need Christ as our Savior. Don't let them that ridicule you control your life.

I feel SO sorry for you ! I really do. I can't believe some people can be so dang mean ! I would NEVER say something horrible like that, whadever color somebodys skin was. Well, you might try, wearing a long shirt, not too hide your skin, but to protect it from the sun's rays, that cause darker skin. I'm really sorry People are so mean like that. Maybe God gave you skin like that becuz he wanted you to show people that, people are people, no matter what they skin look like. I will pray fo' you.
