I have a 8 month old pit bull...Right now he is my sister's puppy, but she is going to give him to me. He likes my other sister too. I want him to like me so much that he follows me. How do I get him to like me over both of my sisters?

Feed him and make sure he smells your scent when you do. You should also play with him and pet him and etc.

First and foremost, when you get the puppy I would take him for obedience training. This will begin the bond between the two of you and will also let him know who is the leader of your "pack", and what is expected of him behaviorally. Believe it or not training is a big bonding experience. Make sure that you spend a lot of time with the puppy. Play with him, do your training exercises. It will take him awhile to adjust to his new home and initially he will be confused at the change of ownership. The bond will take some time but I think if you follow these suggestions, and love him lots you will have a great dog that loves you back! :)

Interact with the dog in a consistent, fair, and kind manner. Talk with your family about what the rules are and then stick to them. Don't ever punish / shout at / strike / hit / "lightly tap" your dog at any time, especially when you can reward the good things that your puppy is doing, and get a positive trainer to help you learn how to extinguish the puppy's undesirable behaviors.
Intimidating and bossing a dog ("being Alpha") is a sure way to get your dog to dislike you. Instead, make it rewarding to be around you. Dogs love to learn tricks and play with you - here are some links for you to look at.

You be the one to feed him, walk him, provide for his needs. Taking him to a Positive Reinforcement training class is a great way to grow and develop a bond. The dog will learn what you want from him and feel happier and less anxious around you.

I wish I would trade you places everywhere I go , to the bathroom, make some to eat, outside.. My pitbull follows me everywhere! She 5 months...Just keep spoil her more the your sister. Give her more treats....Sleep with her...That why my puppy follows me. Sometime its gonna get you mad because when you turn around you might trip because its in the back of you....

Be the one who feeds him and plays with him. Pups become easily attached. :) Take the pit for long walks in the park and in no time you'll have a strong bond!

Dogs are the best judge of people. You never going to get a dog to like you better but that doesn't say that they don't like you. I am the one that feeds my dogs, clean up after my dogs, take them out, take them to groomer, take them to the vet, and just take them for rides but who do they love best.. My husband lol. When he is home they stick to him like clue. But they love me too just him better lol. Just love your puppy and he will take care of the rest.

O'k. It sounds like you need to pour gravey all over your body and tie a pork chop around your neck.
