My kitchen has light laminant flooring. In our living rooom we want to install laminant floor. Would a diferent color look bad right next to the light color?

Having different colors won't look bad so long as the transition between the two "reads" seamless. That is, it looks like you did it on purpose. If you're laying them in the same pattern, you could purchase one box of the old kitchen style and the rest in the new color. Lay one strip as wide as you want of the new floor against the old (say 4-12 inches wide), then the same width of the old floor then continue with the new. This will look like the floors were done about the same time. If you're changing the pattern or way the boards are laid down, you'll have to figure out something else. Maybe a very small transitional section of a third color that will tie the two together.

It really depends if the adjacent connection is a doorway or a long section...

I would try to find a complimentary floor to touch the other one...
