Well, you have consider some things about the can of salmon.
1) Whats the expiration date?
2) When did you open it?
3) What temperature does your refrigerator keep your food at?
Personally, I don't know more than the first two, so I simply throw it out after one or two days after opening. Fish in cans don't last that long, and I don't see a point for letting it rot in my refrigerator.

A can should never be stored in the refrigerator, it is a quick grower of bacteria. Always place things in another container. Then the salmon should last 2-3 days tops. If it has been in the can, toss it your better off, you could get sick from it. Sometimes those little stomach aches and those quick trips to the rest room after a meal are VERY minor cases of food poisoning!

In the world of professional cooks and chefs nothing is kept over 3 days unless it's frozen. There is also a saying, "When in doubt throw it out!" This is a good rule of thumb for anyone. Besides it keeps the home cook from having to set up some sort of system like commercial kitchens have to. Day stickers, for the day of the week, date stickers, for the day of the month, some times even time stickers.

First of all can goods should never be stored in the refrigerator after opening them. You should store all opened can's contents in a plastic container until used, they will last much longer that way. Opened can goods left in a refrigerator, as far as I am concerned should be thrown out the next day.........

canned salmon has already been cooked so I would eat it after 4 days. Especially if you are going to heat it up in any way.and if it was sealed well.
