Don't let other ppl influence ur decision- if u really like him, u won't care what other ppl think. I'm in hs, and my last bf was in 7th grade. Everyone made fun of me at 1st, but eventually they accepted it. I couldn't help but love him- he never seemed like a 7th grader 2 me. Ur sitch will work out similarly. If it really bugs u, confront ur parents about why they don't like him. Don't worry about what ur friends think- if they're ur real friends then they'll support u anyway.

From your questions, I'm guessing you are rather young.
There are two important questions:
1. Why don't your parents like them?
(Honestly ask them and honestly listen. Don't throw any tantrums or overreact, really listen. Not only will it show your folks you are serious but you will realize that there is more than just your own point of view that is looking in on this situation. Your parents are there to guide you, to make sure that the lessons you learn aren't hard on you.)
2. If you like this guy and he likes you, why do you care so much what others think? Is someone elses approval so important? It seems you may go against your parents wishes to just like him. If you go against theirs what makes someone elses opinion weigh more?
If other people's approval is so important to you, leave him alone and just be friends with him. But if you want to be a true person, a true grown up then accept that fact that the reason most people make fun of others is too belittle them, because they're jealous of them, or because they are afraid of them.
They may laugh at you because you're with him. But if you are so concerned about that, it just shows that you are just as embarrassed to be around him.

ok i dont really understand this.. everyone at school will make fun of you and your parents dont like him???/ well first if you like the guy then who cares about people at school. as long as you really like him and he likes you that should be all that matters. as far as your parents. find out what they dont like and why. do they even know him? or is it just teh stupid bad rep situation??? if they dont like him for substantial reasons like hes really not a good person (in many ways; drugs, alcohol, getting into alot of trouble) and you think you could be dragged into that i dont advise the situation. if he is like that and you know it wont take you down then maybe you can help him, if this is teh case and thats how it is and you believe you can do good just watch your back and dont let him bring you down...dont deal with hurtful things. you never know love can change alot of htings and maybe even bad people. have faith and follow your heart

Who cares what others think. You like each other then be together. Your parents have no say. People at school have no say. Its up to you and him.

I know it isn't what you want to hear but I would just try to be friends with this boy for a while, and let him prove himself to be a really good friend, then maybe mom and dad will give him the benefit of the doubt. Good luck, and trust me, you have plenty of time for guys.

Your parents dont like him? find out why. if you think its unreasonable to not like him, ask yourself why your parents think that. they might be doing that for your safety.
If you really like the person, who cares what people think at school. They're not the ones dating him ^^

You will find out as you get older that your parents were much wiser than you thought they were. There must be a good reason why they don't like him.

Go with your heart....most parents dont like who you date because they dont think any one is good enough for their little girl. Do what makes you happy.

Your parents are a lot older than you and probably a better judge of character. I bet if you go ahead with it he will make you wish you hadn't.

u have to make your parents know u really like him.they just dont see the same thing u see in him. make them know how u feel
