She needs to go back to her doc for more information and possibly meds for her anxiety. A heart attack is not necessarily a death sentence.

I think all older folks feel that way. My grandmother (age 65) is the same way. If she has a cold, she's dying. Try going with her to her next appointment, or if she seems depressed, perhaps scheduling an appointment for the two of you (and any siblings/dad, whomever) to speak with the doctor for clarification of the issue at hand. Ask her why she feels she isn't going to live another year. Offer to help her however you can, and most of all, make sure she knows you're there for her.

I can imagine how it is to be in your shoes. I am not in your shoes, but if I was, I would die. To be honest, I wouldn't know what to say to her but hope for the very best. Are you under 18 and need financial support from your mom? If yes, it is extra hard on you to go through this problem as a child.

I am so sorry If I were in your shoes I would be going crazy....Because my mom means everything to me...Try hanging out with friends and express your feeling to some who will listen that will make you feel much better..And spend all the time you can with your mom no fighting...

hi
you have to talk to her, you need to lesson to her fears, she has just went through a reality check and she is unsure of her self and of her abilities , be peasant and understanding at the same time not allowing her to take advantage of her situation. and to remember to let her know that you and the others still love her.
