I like Matt and asked him to prom, however I'm starting to like one of my other friends a lil bit more that matt, his name's ryan. Matt never answered the question except for a "I can't say yes to that just yet" and Ryan said that he would go with me if Matt said no...
Do I tell Matt to forget I asked him and go with Ryan or wait a lil bit longer?
Ryan and I said as friends though since he just got out of a relationship with his ex... but he tells me everything and I'm the only girl he really opens too apparently.
But Matt and I are oooold friends, 9 years and idk what to do

Whoever you like more and want to hang with more is who you should go with. It is important that you make up your mind and let them know what you want though. They will appreciate your honesty. You said that you like matt more so go ahead and ask him out. Tell matt that you didn't think that he was going to be able to go with you because he was taking so long so you found someone else. You and Matt aren't in a relationship so he should understand. It sounds like he is just using you as a back up plan anyway.

If u like Ryan more, and Matt didn't give u a yes yet, then u deserve 2 go w/ Ryan. Ryan said yes 1st, so I would go w/ him and tell Matt he waited 2 long. Don't let Matt play u like that. The early bird gets the worm!

Ask Matt again and if he says "I can't say yes to that just yet" again, tell him that you appreciate him thinking about it but unfortunately you're going to go with someone else. Someone that wants to go with you and won't hesitate on giving you an answer. After all, if Matt wanted to go with you he would have said yes the first time you asked. I think Matt has something else planned and waiting to see if it falls through or not. Don't settle for being second best. Good luck.

I would say talk to Matt tell him that u talked to ryan and he said he would like to go with me and be like i know u didnt want to say yes so ask him if its okay if u go with ryan! Either way u have a date so thats better then not having any! I would say talk to matt ask him how he would feel if you went with ryan and then if he is cool with it ask ryan! Hope this helps!!

i would explain to matt that you changed your mind and want to go with ryan instead. Im sure matt would understand esspecially because he didnt say yes and that sounds like matt might be thinking of someone else to go with. I think you should go with ryan because he already said that he would go with you and because you like him more.

Girl don't sit around waiting for him to see if he gets a better offer. Go get you a date. Even if it is with a friend. That way there is no pressure and you can just have FUN which is what you are supposed to do at a prom.

Any guy who says "I can't say yes to that just yet" is a jerk. He's obviously waiting to decide if he wants to go with someone else, and that's just insulting, even if he does decide to go with you , you're his second choice.
go with the guy who obviously likes and respects you and wants to go with you. nights like that are better spent with great friends having a great time than some dork who you won't be talking to in a year.

It's just prom... Who would you rather go with and who would you have more fun with. Go with that person.
