this may be a dumb question but ive always wondered why you would date someone when you were in middle school or around that age. even in 6th grade people date. the reason i dont understand is because more then likely you wont end up marrying who your dating in 6th grade. it just seems kinda dumb. also once you leave highschool usually you dont ever see the same people again.

yeah i dunno. dating someone at that age feels like the world to them...but really when you look back on it, its so completely dumb. i didnt do it, and now looking back on it, im so glad i didn't.

Well some eople date around that grade level to make themselves seem popular. Another reason is because the more experience the better. By experience I mean date wise. These are all the basic reasons as to why people date around that age but much like you I never really understood it.

People date in these grades because they like someone. Even though if it didn't last forever they still got some experience for future relationships that they might have. You have to try new things and see what you like in guys! Alot of people you date you won't end up marrying usually but atleast you know what you like! I hope this has helped you! =D

You are right. You usually don't end up with the ones you dated in school, but it gives you experience and confidence. That's what life is all about, learning from experience. You don't learn how to ride a bike the first time you try. You have to fall a few times to appreciate good balance.

im even 6 grade and have a bf...right okay...um to answer your question mostly every girl has a crush on a guy..and when he ask you to be his girlfriend you feel special*. And there might be the regret if you said no and he asked your friend..jealousy hurts.
it just a sort of "trying out" you want to see how they are b4 hs and marrige. All the up and downs.

Many people around this age just want to get the hug and kiss on the lips from a 'special someone' that just makes them and their hormones feel good.

VERY good question!! I think they just let their hormones get the better of them and they see other couples and they want to have that too. They want to have someone to love them! But yeah, they're most likely not gonna marry that person which is what dating is for. (Preparation for marriage)

Well im in the big 8th grade and i go out with people and i go on one on one dates and stuff like that it doesnt matter what age you are just like your level of maturity...well yep that is just right

i dont think that its such a big dealio. i dated my first bf in 3rd grade, and we still like each other to this day, but arent going out. but whatever you think. but you are right bout the whole never seeing each other again, but it could happen.
