I suggest you start by contacting your local volunteer center. They specialize in connecting you with projects and agencies that match your interests, and can utilize your skills and talents.

Volunteer centers provide one-time, short-term, and long-term projects, and they offer a diverse group of agencies and serve a variety of community issues.

Here's a link to help you find your volunteer center:

Through my volunteer center, I work at the children's shelter, food bank, parks and recreation, museum, and other areas. I also tutor children at the library, and work on marketing projects and other administrative functions.

Good luck!

I don't leave nearby there, but I would suggest going to your local community center and asking if they have any suggestions for you.
