I took invega for the first time yesterday.... (for bipolar, not schizophrenia by the way :] lol) and now Im crazy tired. I have been all day. I slept for like 12 hours, and now Im still really tired, but I cant sleep :[ Its like.....well I dont know what its like, Ive never felt like this before, and its scaring me. I really really hate feeling like this. could this be a side effect of the invega??

Yes, it could be Invega. Because it is an "antipsychotic", it can also be highly sedating. The A/Ps are used to treat bipolar d/o too, usually the agitation that can result from a manic episode. You should call the MD who prescribed it right away to let him/her know how you are feeling. Although they often say that you will "get used to it", if you are not feeling well, it may be that the starting dosage is too high or that it just isn't going to work out for you. The MD may have to titrate your dose (adjust it gradually) up from a lower dose than the one that you started on. Or it is possible that too much is being released from the "capsule" that you take at one time. Only your MD can say for sure, but the side effects that you are describing are possible on that medication.

Invega is chemically related to Risperdal (risperidone), another "atypical antipsychotic" that is also used to treat bipolar disorder, and Risperdal can also cause excessive drowsiness. Call your doctor, stat!

if you get a injection you will go through torture the rest of your life
it is a drug from hell. i,m dying from it. a slow torturous death. over 50 side effects and been bed ridden ever sense the injection
