I want to own and manage my own beer distributing company someday. No.. this isnt a joke I am serious about this. I know its alot of work and takes alot of capital to get started, but I am wondering what the average distributor makes each year? I am sure it depends on the size of the company, but I just want an average? Any links or information out there??

Beer distribution is consolidating into larger companies. The most profitable are generally the Bud distributors because profits are about the same on all brands, but Bud sells a lot of product and AB helps their distributors kick butt.

I suggest getting a job with a current distributor to learn the business from the inside out.

I would talk to a local beer distrubutor, if you build a pole building or rent a cheap warehouse that would help your overhead. Your insurance will be very costly
Good luck, we own a bar so we know the risks
