I don't celebrate holidays.

If I had children I would not baptize them, that is a choice they should make for themselves.

Yes, I do believe in heaven.

I believe in God, that Jesus died for my sins, in the bible...etc.

No place of worship because I drive a truck for a living and am gone for months at a time...anyway, fellowship is where you find it.

And last...there is a great quote from a book called "Waiting for the galactic bus" that goes: "Religion is what you sing on Sunday, faith is what you practice during the week".

I have a strong belief in God, I believe there is a heaven and a hell and I celebrate the true reasons behind Easter and Christmas but it is so hard to deal with organized religion these days. Everyone has their own version of the Bible and so many churches legalize their beliefs. I went to a church where women could not wear pants of any kind and we were not allowed to go to movies and read certain books or even play "Go Fish" because it had face cards and I just have a hard time with people telling me what to do and how I should worship God. Many preachers give their "version" of the Bible. I am tired of the conflicted messages my children and I get in the services.

I celebrate holidays which fit into my belief system. Some I modify traditions to fit my life. I do not celebrate Christmas but I do give Christmas gifts because I think any day ought to be a great day for giving. I don't have children. If I did, I would not baptize them but I would have a special private ceremony to honor my god for the gift of a child and affirming my commitment to raise the child to be a good adult. My beliefs are very difficult to express in words but they are closer to Buddhist than any other major religion. I don't worship publicly because my beliefs are unique to myself but I do pray and praise my god at a specific time and place. I also do occasionally attend worship services of religious groups if they are open to those of other faiths.

Well I do celebrate holidays with my family. I haven't been baptized yet. I don't go to church, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in God and Heaven. Because I do... People think that if you don't go to church that you are not a good person and don't have a religion. I think religion is more of a personal matter and shouldn't be forced onto anyone. (Trust me im not saying that ppl who go to church are bad... I'm just saying that I personally don't believe in having to go to church to be a religious person.)

A Gallup Poll a couple decades ago showed that more people believe in flying saucers than believed in President Ronald Regan. Even unbelieving gamblers believe in a mystical power that will "put them on a roll."

A would not blame anyone for rejecting religion--we have made a terrible mess of thing. After Constantine legalized Christianity and stopped persecuting pagans, then Christians started persecuting pagans. Then different Christians persecuted each other. In fact, when the Moslems invaded North Africa, the Arians considered them liberators because they allowed Jews and Christians to continue their faith as long as they paid tribute.

Setting aside religious bigotry, God has given us enough evidence in creation and the Word to establish His existence. In fact, the Bible tells us that we are without excuse:

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20).

Why no place of worship? Because God is everywhere -- there is no need to be in a particular place. Baptism? No, because I'm not a Christian. Do I celebrate holidays? Yes, some. Every day is special, some more than others. Heaven? Not the way the Judeo-Christian doctrine paints it to be...but yes to an after-life of sorts...I hope this helps clarify things for you. Thanks for asking!

I am a born-again Christian and used to go to church, however, I'm disappointed by churches these days but if I found where I would be comfortable I would go. I am a Bible- believing, Holy-Spirit filled Pentecostal. I celebrate Christian holidays, had my children " dedicated" not baptized, believe in heaven, and Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

It is easy to believe in God but very hard to join a church and ascribe to its beliefs and practices because that ties us down and holds us accountable.

It's not enough to believe in God. You have to go further than that. What does God teach? How do you know? Which denomination teaches what is right about God? Which denomination helps you to become closer to God?

A lot of people seem to forget that Jesus Christ established an actual Church here on earth. Otherwise, how could people know where to go to find the Truth? That Church is the Catholic Church. She has been consistently proclaiming the Truth since A.D. 33.

God bless you.

I cannot speak for everyone, in fact, I want to make a point of saying that I am only speaking for myself. The way I see it, even the idea of an actual "God" up in the sky is one of great debate. I trade between atheism and agnosticism at least once a week. I believe in evolution, I also believe that once we die, we simply cease to exist. I understand this can be a TERRIBLY hard concept for most people to grasp, so I don't expect it. I believe mankind's large and sophisticated brains have finally come around to bit us in the *** with our inability to really think outside the box, we're ALL guilty of this. I also believe life is to short and insignificant to spend our numbered days worshiping one of these super vengeful gods and bickering over various interpretations of the bible (that last part is key).

Above all, I believe in tolerance. Although I think religion is a crazy idea, I accept it completely. I am able to understand the good it does for this world. I may not agree with other people's ideas on life, but that does not give me license to think less of them for it. Can't we all just get along?

I think I may have wandered off target in answering this.
