I think it does because while you are exercising, whether you are inside on a treadmill or outside you are focusing supposedly on moving your muscles. It leaves you to talk, think or just concentrate on something. This is using your brain to both exercise and work.

Yes. Several studies showing that exercise releases chemicals that improve brain function. One was just on Yahoo news less than a month ago.
