Your probably not even anywhere near ugly, your just self-conscious. First about the mascara, if you don't feel comfortable wearing it, don't. It matters what you want, not other peoples opinions on how you look. If you have bad grades, try tutoring. Almost every school has some after school program that helps with grades. I'm guessing your in 8th grade, if so i was very confused, even more then now, about life in general. TRUST me, it will be SO much better in freshman year. Do not feel so bad about yourself, is it helping you feel better at all? No, of course not.

If you feel like you need a change in your appearance, try a haircut. That always makes me feel sexy, and confident :) I went through ALL of this, the insecurity, everything. Please, just hang on a while. This will all get better, if your like me you'll start getting more boy attention if you have confidence, so put a smile on and you'll feel better!

If your still feeling down after a week or two, definitely talk to an adult or friend. Don't let it turn into depression or anything. High school is the primary suffering year for alot of people, but towards the end it will be a blast. At least that's what i hope! Oh, and never change your self for someone else, that's the most important thing. Good luck :)

There should be someone you can talk to about these problems at your school; a counselor? Don't worry about your grades; the important thing is that you do your best, but your path may be in other areas, like an animal vet tech, laboratory or teaching assistant, aromatherapist, or peace officer. Develop those things you are good at; maybe arts & crafts, music, or sport. When you get older, decide for yourself whether you could be helped by some cosmetic surgery, or need to see a Dermatologist (skin specialist), but nearly all teenagers have some problem regarding their appearance, so it is not a good time to do anything permanent or expensive about it, yet. Try http://choosediet.blogspot.com/ and select one, snacking on as many celery sticks as you like, with the occasional carrot stick or slices of cucumber in any vinegar. 6 - 8 small meals daily, and if you divide up your daily protein allocation, and have some with each meal, it will delay the emptying of your stomach. Have a 250 ml glass of water 15 - 20 mins before each meal. When you begin to feel angry, before a fight starts, count backwards from 10 to 1, as it will help you maintain control of your emotions.

wow. That is a lot. I know exactly how you feel. Really. Maybe you should just look at things from a different perspective and see what you should just try to ignore. That's what I do. Note that they said you would look prettier if you put masscara on. That means they think you look pretty. Go through the emotions first and look at the good and the bad. Then try and overcome the bad ones. Once you have this covered you can focus on your school work more. And for your friend. If she is your friend she will make up with you if you explain. and if you both try.

Honey, you don't have drama...welcome to the wonderful world of being a teenager. It ain't always great, and it ain't always fun, and it may always seem to you like everyone else has it easier and is prettier or gets better grades and all that type of stuff, but that's just the way it seems right now. All teenagers are insecure no matter what they tell you or how they seem to you on the outside. Those preppy little girls you see at school that are all made up that all the guys seem to like that are always picking on other girls to make them feel bad about themselves are usually doing it to make themselves feel better because they have low self esteem. It's how the wonderful world of middle school/junior high and high school works. In a few years it will all be over, and none of it will matter anymore, trust me. No one will care who was the most popular or the prettiest or the smartest, because everyone will be trying to make it in the real world, and that's not how you get by. I know it can be hard for you, cause it was for me, but it will get better eventually...you'll find your own little place in "society," and you'll feel comfortable about yourself enough that what everyone else has to think or say won't bother you. Don't let it get you down sweetie. Good luck.
