It is time to stop telling yourself what you can't do, and tell yourself what you can do! No one is forcing the junk food down your throat. Show some self-control and restraint. Until you gain some discipline, you won't lose weight. Also, you can exercise easily inside. Fresh air is NOT required. You need to concentrate on healthy foods in moderation and junk the junk foods. Pick up an exercise DVD and follow the routines. Stop making excuses, and you'll achieve the weight loss you want.

You can't lose weight unless you burn more calories than you consume. Start by looking at those calories in junk food. There is a good free online food journal you can use at:
http://www.fitday.com/
Once you start tracking what you eat and see the effect that those snacks have, you will begin to think twice when you reach for the bag of chips.
For exercise, find an activity you like. There are workout videos you can do in the privacy of your home. Also if you're in high school, you can talk to a PE teacher & get some help there.

You've taken an excellent first step by asking for help. I encourage you to do a couple of things:
1. Join some clubs at school or in the community so that you're out and about and being active with other people.
2. Talk to your parents or guardians about your desire to lose weight, and ask them if they will help you eat a low-fat balanced diet.
3. Consider going for walks around your neighborhood as a way to get started. That way, you're not in an exercise outfit in the back yard, but you're still enjoying the outdoors.
Also, remember that just because you can afford fast food doesn't mean you have to buy it. You could also probably afford pet food, but smartly, you don't eat it.

Get the powedered stuff that flavors water, but has only 1 calorie. This makes drinking lots of water bearable. Junk food is a big no-no. Fruits and veggies are the way, but let's be realistic. Depending on how much junk you eat, try cutting down gradually- replacing it with fruits & veggies, lite yogurt or even no/low fat snacks.
The best way to cut down on snacking is to PLAN your meals for 5 times a day. Take what you'd normally eat for lunch and split it for noon and, like, 2:30-3:00. Same for breakfast, eat something in the morning and save something for 10:00. If you portion it out this way, you'll find you're eating less at "official meal time" and not snacking.
Indoor exercise works if you have tunes to keep you moving. Even dancing will do the trick as long as you do it for 30 minutes non-stop.

Try drinking green tea (not the crap they sell bottled loaded with high fructose corn syrup). Go to a health foods store or oriental market, if you have one, and buy it. You can add lemon or honey to flavor it as you like. Green tea is a natural diuretic and loaded with anti-oxidents. Honey, make sure it is pure and not cut with corn syrup, is also good for you. If you don't find green tea to your liking, try one of the many herbal teas made by Celestial Seasonings, Numi, Tazo, or Stash, just to name a few. They usually have all sorts of good stuff in them and they are tastier than plain water and healthier than soft drinks and many high fructose juices. Avoid drinks, snacks, or cereals with large amounts of high fructose corn syrup in them. Try substituting fruits and vegetables for junk food once in a while. I have a major sweet tooth too and I know it's hard to give that stuff up, so don't. Just eat the junk in moderation. Many times you crave the junk because you are lacking enough fruits and vegetables in your diet. Also, if nuts are not a problem, try eating them (honey coated for your sweet fix if needed). They have oils and minerals that are good for you. They're definitely healthier than than a pack of cookies or snack cakes. Go online and find a recipe for homemade kettle corn. This will help with your sweet tooth craving and popcorn is a fairly decent snack eaten in moderation. Stay away from microwave popcorns as they tend to be loaded with fats and sugars.
There are excercises you can do within your home to start losing weight and your neighbor won't be able to see you. Some low impact programs are yoga, pilates, and belly dance. These can help tone your muscles without the wear and tear of vigorous excercise. Also, simply going for a fast-paced walk around your neighborhood, local mall, or school track for 20-30 minutes can help you lose weight. If you are near a place with a lot of stairs or a really steep hill, walking them can help you slim down as well. My first year in college I lost 17 pounds just because I had so many stairs to climb and I lived on pizza, macaroni & cheese, kool-aid, chocolate, and other sorts of junk. Most students gained weight, but I lost it just because I was more active. All my classes were on the third floor and my best guy friend lived six floors below me. I avoided the elevator, except on laundry days, and it helped me to lose a lot of weight. If a place you need to go is within a 20 minute walk from your house, then go ahead and walk it. Leave the car at home if you live in a fairly safe area. Make sure you eat breakfast, even if it's only a granola bar or a piece of fruit. It will get your metabolism going so you will burn more calories as you eat during the day. Good luck!

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event. Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculator to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age).
You can force your body to lose weight with not enough calories, but if you continue it, you will starve to death. With an abundance of healthy foods, you lose weight just as fast, but only until you reach your ideal weight. You can continue eating this way the rest of your life and always be at your ideal weight.

Exercise is key, but you do have to cut back on some things- you can't eat your cake and have it too!
Try looking up some good exercises online-put it into a search engine. Some good traditional things to do are push-ups, crunches, etc. They do work, but you have to be dedicated (lots of repetition).
There's only so much you can do, though, without changing what you eat too. Try cutting out little things first, like getting a medium fry instead of a large. Also, try drinking lots of water before you eat-if you are full on water, there's less room for junk food!

Join a YMCA, no reason to feel awkward there. The basis of weight gain is if you eat more calories than you use, you will gain weight. Just make sure that before meals drink a liter of water, fills you up. Rather than junk food eat fruit or something.

no is the basic answer. exercise is easy inside or outside - i like to go for a bike ride. if im indoors there are plenty of fun easy exercises to do. use cans of food for weight lifting, push ups - sit ups. walk up and down the stairs. wear an ipod so you dont get bored. i think you should spend a lot of time outdoors though. if you have access to a bike, use it. if not, go for a brisk walk. if you find yourself eating junk food, walk it off afterwards. use junk food as a reward for losing weight. one treat per week, if you loose a pound maybe. good luck

In order to bring things into perspective, an average person burns about 100 calories in a 1 mile run. That is less than the calories in a tablespoon of oil.
In other words: You have to get rid of the junk food if you are serious about getting into shape. Treat it like the decision which it is.
Here is some other info about fat loss.
