all of my friends think im a emo, but i don't wear black or cut.... everything else i do.... am i really emo or just messed up?

emo is just short for emotional and maybe that's all they are calling you. That is totally fine too because if you are younger teens go through mood swings. . . if not so does everyone else sometimes

The real meaning of emo is a person who is extremely emotional, usually being very depressed all the time.
Many people perceive emos as people who wear black, black eyeliners, black nail polish, tight pants, etc. But thats just the emo style.

the term emo is actually pretty reletive. my friends also call me an emo, but thats because im just down in the dumps right now, and have a tendency to be skitsophrenic...... wearing black isn't what makes you emo. rather, its your view on life.
