First off, screw them if you insulted them, fact is fact. Alot of Christians just have nothing better to do than harrass anyone who doesn't believe what they do. Don't they have sad lives? Jesus loves you in particular must be such a sad soul, don't you think?

I don't know why the Christians you know are that way...but I'm glad you realize all of us are not like that. True Christians should never be rude or disrespectful, or seek revenge. I can tell you though, that even true Christians do wrong things too. We certainly are nowhere near perfect...the biggest difference is that we have chosen to accept Jesus as our Savior, and we try to live in a way that pleases Him. Our #1 priority should be to show others His love through our actions. Sadly, we often fail. And every time we do, we risk turning that person away from Christ. Just remember, don't blame Jesus for people's unchristian behavior, because He loves you perfectly. :)

We are not perfect, although Christ was. Christians are supposed to mimic Christ, I know. And the problem you are having is that they do not live each day for Christ, something i struggled with for a long time in my own walk with Christ. As a christian I am not a part of this world, I live for God, and I have to remember that when I tell people I am a christian, they expect me to live up to it. It can be hard at times, and the bible says that we cannot do it, we will fall short. (Romans 3:23) But does that mean i should give up? No, because i am living my life for God, and I know the prize is before me. So I guess the answer to your question is that your friends have not fully taken on the true roll of following Christ in all they do, I am very sorry that they have given you a bad example of how Christians act, but i hope this has cleared it up for you.

The true Christians I know are nothing like those you have spoken of! I do know a couple of people who go to church about 4 times a year and claim to be Christians. I know a few more that claim to be Christians just because the believe in God and that Jesus was the son of God. These people don't truly know God's word because they never hear it or they seldom hear it. These are the people who some ( not all) non-believers judge the rest of us by.

As a human being, it'd be best to bow your head and just forgive them for how they act, should it be offensive to you.
People are People. People think what they think they know is right and think that what other people think that they know is wrong, and that those people need to learn what is "right", or, in this sense... wait, too complicated... let me try again.
People are People. Group A thinks they're right about whatever they think. As people tend to do. Group B makes the same assumptions as Group A, only about their own opinions. The problem is when Group A or Group B tries to convince the other of who it is that is truly "right".
It's a human thing, really.
If it bugs you... just... walk away. Just remain calm.
People who preach about anything (religion, politics, doing your chores, etc.) are ALWAYS itchin' for a fight. So, just, remain calm.
Not all Christians are like that, but, you already know that.
There's quite a few nice ones out there, actually... you just have to be lucky enough to run into the ones that act friendly!

well i'm glad you did clarify that it was the ones you knew - and not all of them. the problem is that is so easy for people to claim they are a Christian - because to them, being a Christian is no more than being in a club; you get all the benefits of being a member, but you dont have to live the lifestyle.
- a true Christian will live a life of not only total obedience to God, but it will be full of change. you will know a true Christian when you meet them because they wont do the things that they did before Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:17- "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

If the Christians you know are all like that - as you say - then It's probably because you're not a good judge of character, and seek out the wrong kind of friends. Try to hang with a better class of people and you won't get so resentful towards Christians. God bless you.

Maybe it is your perception of Christianity that causes you to see the bad in them that you want to see? Blind hatred can cause you to see things in a negative way. Stop hating and first get your own life right with God.
If it is not your perception that is at fault, perhaps the people you know are not true Believers. Many claim to be "Christian"
and yet they do not even acknowledge Christ Jesus as God Almighty. It seems to be the "In" thing today for religions to claim they are christians, when in fact they do not even worship Christ Jesus. A true Born Again Believer will tell you that Christ Jesus is God Almighty, He died on the cross at Calvary, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
If they deny Christ Jesus as God Almighty, they are of the world and not of God. That is what a true Christian believes.
God Bless You....Peace.

No offense taken. I think that if they act like that, they have no right to call themselves true Christians. Nobody's perfect, but people who call themselves Christians should at least make an effort to live as holy a life as possible. Also, God looks on the inside not the out. To mankind, you could be the ugliest thing ever and still be beautiful inside to God. Only God has the real right to judge.

There really is no difference in maturity between Christians (any faith really) and the "non-religious". We are all the same; some are mature and real and loving, some are not.
One of the ways you can tell is by their words; anyone who claims to be "Godly" is puffing themselves up. Like me, for example. I'll gladly stand and proclaim myself a follower of Christ, I'm not ashamed of it, but I'd never be so prideful as to even suggest that I'm Godly lol.
The only advice I can give on it is to not let yourself be like them; remember that the Jesus they proclaim to follow has nothing but love for ya :)

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews consider that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The factor of view of the anti Messianice Jews is quality summed up through Mark JPAS whilst he mentioned "it's applicable to combination a few measure of overseas non secular factors with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, that is appeared to be incompatible with any style of Jewishness. This is the double commonplace that's implemented to Christianity despite the fact that Jesus is regarded the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are checked out with even better disdain. Why? its a canopy for there possess deviations from Judaism. Some Jews have to keep a connection to Jewish loved ones considering the fact that they've deviated such a lot from conventional Judaism that many Orthodox query their Jewishness. They want uncover a few technique to distract concentration considering the fact that of there deviation from the Torah. This is finished through pointing their finger at others to direct concentration clear of their possess movements. You can not deliver your self a name and count on that it makes you whatever. This is the argument that has been used towards Jews that come to a decision that Jesus is the Messiah. We are advised that the mere notion of one more nature of God instantly invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the identical time Jews that end up atheists, pantheists or quit training any detail in their faith we're advised are nonetheless Jews. They say that you'll consider in something however Jesus. Jews name conversion "becoming a member of the tribe". Things that might in no way fly in Orthodox or for that subject Messianic Judaism may also be discovered within the Reform and Reconstructionist hobbies. A well instance of this can be a earlier query requested right here. The man or woman asking worshiped the God Ferris however didn't consider in him or the Jewish God. The consciousness of the query was once" ...might you PERSONALLY think comfy welcoming me now not simply as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, however as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was once evidently asking approximately changing to Judaism). The reaction was once "Reform Judaism covers a vast swath of ideals and practices and I am definite you're going to be utterly authorized. ... I for my part might take delivery of you entire heartily as a fellow Jew." So a few Jews will take delivery of a wide variety of deviations from the Torah however now not notion in "Jesus". Let's now not disregard the Reform motion desired to difference the sabbath to Sunday to be extra like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant but you'll end up an atheist, quit training their religion, end up a Buddhist, become a member of a Unitarian Church and nonetheless be a Jew within the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox whilst requested approximately different Jews will say they do not know what non Orthodox Jews are. The identical applies to the opposite sects. Speaking of sects Jews will inform you there are not any sects however its now not precise. Rabbinical Jews comply with an expertise in their religion that was once founded a million,900 years in the past. They have their possess canon of Scripture. There also are non Rabbinical Jews such because the Ethiopian Jews that follows the sample of the Christian Old Testament and they've many further books that they don't forget to be scripture. A organization referred to as the Karaites is the reverse of the Ethiopian and handiest consider within the five Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews name Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and notice for your self. Don't allow someone inform you that there are not any sects in Judaism. They say the the lessons of Jesus are very special from Judaism. They additionally declare that Jesus taught not anything new from the rabbis earlier than him. Then they we inform you that there have been no rabbis till 100 years after the time of Jesus. Its all approximately profitable the argument to them now not approximately what is precise. The predicament isn't variations however similarities. You must recognise ALL the writers of the Christian Bible had been Jews however one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The immense majority of early believers in Jesus had been Jews. So whilst you listen the special reverse you have to hold that during brain. A Jew can consider in Jesus and nonetheless be a Jew. Edit: those who make private accusations must comprise hyperlinks or close up.
