I have stretch marks on my arms from lifting weights. They are noticable and embrassing. I have been using some creams and lotions recently. If I went to see a dermatologist, would they give me any prescriptions creams for my problem? I am thinking of seeing a doctor but if they are going to tell me what I already know than it's pointless. Thanks.

Stretch marks are simply scars. They can only be surgically removed or you could try Mederma. It's sold over the counter and works pretty well. If they are not too bad coca butter does wonders.

Hi. I have some new stretch marks from getting pregnant. I use this organic body butter by Palmer's, its in a green tub at walmart or target. Its something you put on after a shower, but before bed. Its a little oily but it works wonders, I only have 3 or 4 stretch marks to date.. and I use it every other day right after I get out of the shower. It smells good and its all natural.

I had some stretch marks that I asked my doctor about last year and she just told me the only thing to do was to buy the over the counter lotions. I've been using the palmer's lotion for stretch marks and it has worked. Mine are not really visible anymore! Good luck!
