first of all, there is no such thing as a "historian rank" in the air force. there might be an AFSC for a historian but no rank. whoever said see who pays more....they all pay the same based on "PAY GRADE" hence pay grade. time in service and pay grade factor into your base pay. air force does everything that they can to make your job as easy and safe as possible....more marines,army,and navy go north into iraq and afghan than airforce each day...trust my experience over here...as far as getting action...you could be an 11B in the army and hope to get stationed in the 101st, or you copuld go into the 03 field in the marine corps....the navy im not sure about but i see a lot of MPs that use german shepards as military working dogs....you chose what u wanna do
you can ROTC for any of the branches in college ....2 or 4 yr program....and every job in the military has a desk position no matter what anyone tells you...yes the infantry in the marines and army has people behinds desks back in the state....higher ranks like offcers..but dotn get me wrong....the army and marines also have the highest rate of officers that accampany their units in the field....so whether its hooah, hua, hoorah, or oorah....good luck

All three branches have the intel field. I do prefer the Air Force over any of the any ones. If you join the military, do not think you will able to get your hometown. Right now, the Army and the Marines are going over to Iraq and Afghanistan more than the other branches.

First of all you need to graduate from basic training to even start talking about retirement. You might not even like it. I would recomend the Air Force, Coast Guard, or Navy. You need to be pretty hard core for the Marines or the Army, come say something after you are actually in. Good luck, hope it works for you.

Marine Corp 0302 Infantry officer, because;
1. It's no desk job.
2. You would be a part of making history.
3. The other Branch's are for the weaker lesser men!
(#3 is just a joke all you army doggies, flyboys, and navy squids)

if you want to be in the air force u must have perfect vision and not have laysick so remember that. The navy will probably be on the ocean a lot and if u dont like that then dont join. I think the army is most dangerous because u will probably be in iraq and usually they are killed more. The marines is really hard to get in i heard and is most physically demanding

To join a service is to support the United States in a time of crisis.Not to move up to a rank and then retire.

get a well rounded general education at West Point or one of the other branch Academies. Start looking into it NOW!!. You are going to have to jump through some hoops (getting in touch with key people etc). It is going to take some time to do all this, so begin NOW!!
