A shot of vodka dropped in a glass of beer is called a Boilermaker. An Irish carbomb is a shot composed of .5 oz irish whiskey and .5 oz. Bailey's dropped in a pint of Guinness. Both drinks are chugged immediately once the shot is dropped, especially in the case of the carbomb, because the shot sometimes causes the beer to curdle.

Sometimes they're called a 'car bomb' if you drop a shotglass in a glass of beer and chug it down.

Personally, me and my friends used to call any sort of liquor added to beer a 'beer booster'.

Be careful with that... Yer playin' with power.

After trying it once, I call it the puke maker. I got so sick the following day I swore I would never do that again.

If the beer is Guiness, then you can call it a "black Russian".
