How important is how much a guy earns to a woman?

I female co-worker of mine says that I have some kind of problem because I tend to think its true. However, several female friends whom I have considerable respect for told me this in the first place.
Please don't remind me that guys are shallow because we all want women with perfect bodies. I'm not like that, but I know some guys who are.

Depends on the woman. As long as you have enough money to live comfortably without living paycheck to paycheck, any decent woman should be fine with that.

Wow, that's a hard question to answer. You can't lump all women into this answer. Some women don't care how much a man makes, some do, some want to stay at home while the man earns the bacon, and some want to be more successful than their husband. I think the most important thing to a women is security (knowing that their man isn't terrible with his money, that he saves $, has investments for retirement, and a good life insurance policy in case something happens to either of you). It depends on what the womans future goals are. If its kids, house and staying at home,then $ will be more important. Theres a gold digger type as well. You can usually find out how important money is to a chick by looking at a few things. Her car- is it precious and sparkly? Does she have an expensive cellphone with girly accessories? A sweet little toy dog with gaudy collar and poofy satin bed? Pictures of herself on exotic vacations with big fruity drinks held high? all bad signs that she is a goofball who may want to be pampered.

That depends on the woman. I know for me, as long as he's not starving and buying his clothes at Goodwill it doesn't really matter. Some women prefer men with money because they may be golddiggers or just prefer to live the rich life. Other women like men wtih a certain amount of money because they grew up poor and don't care to live that way again. I guess it all depends on the situation. I say if she just wants you for your money kick her to the curb.

This means a lot to many women. Depending on the woman, it could be because money translates to basic financial security for her and her kids, and what she can afford in her life. But there are women who just want to flaunt their wealth, and to them marrying someone who is rich is a way of getting back at their friends or siblings and to feel "one up" on them.

its biological for a woman to look out for her(and her children's) best interests. just like guys have such an attraction to attractive women. But love is blind. however, nobody wants to be with someone that has nothing, or isnt trying to better themselves

It's not the money, it's what you do with it. If you have a job, and are gainfully employed, not living in your mother's basement, I consider that good. Anything beyond that is gravy. Trilli

how much money the guy makes is not everything. money isn't everything. you can't Buy LOVE. if you love the guy you shouldn't look at his income first.... to me it's not important at all as long as you are Rich on Love! ;)
