I have many goals. I want to go to college and get a history degree. Then go in the navy or army and serve my country. After that I would like to eventually get my phd in history and join the fbi. Not in any neccesary order. After a career at the fbi i would like to retire and become a curator of a museum or other public history field and write books on history. Are my goals realistic? Which should I join navy or army?

Your goals are realistic because almost anything in life is possible. Trouble is that they are quite a lot! Do not bite off more that you can chew. My advice is: go step by step. Focus on the goals that appeal to you most. In the curse of life you might change your mind, or maybe fate has other plans for you, you never know.
Good luck

You more need to get a law degree, or a accounting degree, or a computer science degree, those are much more sort after by the FBI now adays Not saying you can't get in with a history degree but it is harder, You may get a history degree, then go to law school, and go into the FBI

Perhaps you may look into a ROTC that would help with your college degree and then even Law School. Then you can do the military as a military attorney and go to FBI latter

These are just suggestions but you can always follow your dream

You better get a degree is something of value if you want to join the FBI. A degree in history, even a Ph.D is of little value to the anyone, other than in academia.

The FBI largely hires accountants and lawyers... consider going into one of those fields instead of history.

My goodness. You need to sit down and make a timeline. You also need to go to the FBI webpage to find out the criteria/qualification requirements for the position. Good Luck!

Sounds like you have your head on straight. Indeed
get your college degree. Serve your country. You'll
need to be clean and green to work for the FBI so
keep your nose clean in the insuing years as they
will find out everything about your past. You have
high goals......................go for it.

What should you do? Just keep dreaming! Just kidding. It's great to be so motivated! Just remember to be realistic and don't let disappointment stop you when all things you want to do don't happen as quickly as you'd like. Navy or Army? NAVY!!!

First, learn how to be a nerd, geek and dork. (This seems to be a prerequisite for FBI work)

Then, purchase a poorly-tailored, but expensive, suit.

You are now ready for a career as a G-Man.
